Frequently Asked Questions

What responsibilities does Vendorpass UK Ltd assume as Employer of Record?

Vendorpass UK Ltd serves as the legal employer and manages employment documentation, payroll, statutory payments, Right to Work checks and formal employment administration. The client directs the employee's daily work and provides workplace supervision.

What is the difference between EOR and contractor engagement?

The Employer of Record solution is used for employed workers. Contractor engagement services support independent contractors, personal service companies, consulting firms and other suppliers through structured onboarding, documentation and administration.

Who is responsible for an IR35 status determination?

For public-sector and medium or large private-sector clients, the client is generally responsible for determining employment status for tax and issuing a Status Determination Statement. Different rules may apply to small private-sector clients. Vendorpass can support the review and documentation process, but the statutory responsibility remains with the party designated by law.

Does a contract alone determine whether someone is self-employed?

No. Employment status depends on the facts of the working relationship as well as the written terms. The arrangement should be reviewed at onboarding and when working practices materially change.

Can Vendorpass support a single worker as well as a larger programme?

Yes. Our model can support an individual UK engagement or a broader workforce programme, subject to the requirements and commercial terms of the engagement.
